A thin lace bordered

This braid combines concepts that are present in other braids, but not exactly in this form. Related braids include An open lace [4] and An hollow lace [18].

If "Your Fellow" takes both of his loops reversed, you'll have A lace bordered the one side [9]. I expect this was an accident turned into a feature.

Seat Your Fellow on Your right side.

You: Take five loops in one color, and place them on the following fingers:
Outer hand: A B C
Inner hand: B C

Your Fellow: Take three loops in a second color, and place them on the following fingers:
Outer hand: B
Inner hand: A B

Work your own braids:

You:
Inner hand: A takes through B C inner, the loop of C outer unreversed.
Lower the outer loops.
Outer hand: A takes through B C outer, the loop of C inner reversed.
Lower the inner loops.

Your Fellow:
Outer hand: A takes through B outer, the loop of B inner unreversed.
Lower the inner loop.
Inner hand: A takes through B inner, the loop of B outer unreversed.
Lower the outer loop.

Exchange loops on your inner hands twice so you each have your own color back again:

You:
With A, enter B of the same hand from within outward and take Your Fellow's B unreversed.

Your Fellow:
Takes with his A, Your loop B unreversed.

Both:
Lower A to B.

Repeat from the beginning.

Take to thee a fellow and set him on thy right hand and set on his right hand B 1 bow [and] on A left and on B left each of them a bow of the same color and set on thy hands 5 bows of another color as in the round lace [T3] and then shall thy fellow take with A right through B of the same hand the bow B of the left unreversed then low thy bow from A left onto B left A left shall take through the bow B of the same hand the bow B on the right hand unreversed then low from A right to B of the self hand and so abide till ye have changed twice and then shall thou take with A right through B C of the self hand the bow C of the left hand unreversed then low thy left bows than shall A left take through B C of the same hand the bow C of the right hand reversed downward then shall thou low thy right bows and A right shall enter the bow of the same hand from within outward and take the over side of the bow left of thy fellow from within and thy fellow shall take with A left thy bow B of thy right hand from within so that the sides that were above before the changing be above after the changing and then low thy bow of A right onto B right and change your bows again as ye did before time so that when ye have changed and the colors dwell still on your hands as they were at the beginning and then begin & etc.

A thin lace bordered on both sides.
Thou must take a fellow and set him on thy right hand, and set on his hands 3 bows of one color, one in B right and one A left and one in B left, set set on thine hands 5 bows of another color, as in the round lace [H3]. And then shall thy fellow take the A right through B and of that same hand the bow B of the left hand unreversed. Then low thy bow of A right unto B right, and so abide unto the time ye have changed twice. And then shall thou take with A right through B and C of the same hand the bow C of the left hand unreversed. Then low thy left bows. Then shall A left take through B [and C] of the same hand the bow C of the right hand reversed downward. Then shall thou low thy right bows, and A right shall enter the bow B of the same hand from within outwards, and the over side of the bow A left of thy fellow from within, so that the side that was above before be above after. And then low thy bow of A right onto B right, and change your bows again as ye did before time, so that when ye have changed twice that the color dwell still on your hands as they were at the beginning, and begin againwards.
